World Water Day at Michigan Tech
The Michigan Tech Center for Water and Society celebrated World Water Day on Monday, March 24, with the following events.
Student Research Poster and Art Competitions were held
in the
Memorial Union Ballroom.
Demonstrations of Watercolor Techniques were given by Mary Ann Beckwith.
“Temperature in the Great Lakes,” seminar by Assistant Professor Jay Austin, Large Lakes Observatory, Department of Physics, University of Minnesota, Duluth was sponsored by the Remote Sensing Seminar Series.
In the evening
“The Great Lakes Water Wars," by Peter Annin, associate director, Institutes for Journalism and Natural Resources was presented in the
Rozsa Center and a book signing followed the lecture. Find out more . . .
