Cody Suits, a geology senior with a minor in Mining received the SME MINE Fund Award of $750 from Dr. Wayne Pennington, chair of Geological & Mining Engineering and Sciences Department.

The banquet and awards ceremony were held in the evening at the Ramada Inn in Hancock. Earlier, during the day-long technical session, ten invited papers were presented on various mining, mineral processing, chemical engineering, exploration and economic subjects.
