The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) in collaboration with the Memorial Union Building & the MUB Board presented the 3rd Poetry Slam Contest.

Contest Winners:

Best Performed Poetry: Mohan Rajinikanth
1st Place Performance Act: Camilo Uzquiano
2nd Place Performance Act: Indian Student Association Dancers
3rd Place Performance Act: Viktor Bollen (Physics) 'Diabolo Chinese Yoyo'

The event was organized by the NSBE members.

The judges were Betty Chavis, Sylvia Matthews, Chris Anderson, Iman Blyther, Gloria Melton, and Rod Barton.

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is one of the largest student managed organizations in the country. NSBE's goal is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers to achieve academically, succeed professionally, and to impact the community positively. The MTU chapter is one of 248 NSBE chapters nationally on college and university campuses. Membership is open to all.
