Students
have a choice for their major design experience in engineering:
Students of all engineering disciplines will
choose to join the Enterprise Program (typically in the second year)
or
choose to complete a 6-credit, 2-semester Senior
Design Project in their final year.
Both
options are intended to provide students with an opportunity to
further develop their teamwork and communication skills by working
with a team of students to apply their technical skills and knowledge
on an unstructured "real-world" engineering problem.
Students
selecting the Senior Design option will work within
their major department as part of a team to solve an engineering
problem of their choice.
The ideal Senior Design project would be one identified, sponsored and funded by industry.
