Charlie C. Chen ('67 MS Metallurgical Engineering, '71 PhD) gave the address at 2002 Commencement. He is chairman of MPM Technology
Resources, based in Pomona, Calif. Patrick Horvath, a native of Stephenson, ('67 BS Metallurgical Engineering). In 1979, he founded Accurate Metallurgical Services, Inc., and in 1981 he started H&H Heat Treating, Inc.

Carlos ('71 Chem Eng) and Dalia Jordá participated
in the Michigan Tech Fund Fly-In program. Shown at left top, Carlos met with students, discussing his experiences in the oil industry. As president of PDV America, Inc. Carlos is Chairman of the Board of Citgo Petroleum Corporation and a member of the board of directors of Petroleos de Venezuela, S. A. (PDVSA).

Bill ('69 ECE) and Phyllis Marshall, were given a tour of Civil and Environmental Engineering by Professsor Bob Baillod and Professor Stan Vitton. Bill is Vice President, Engineering for the Mears Group, Inc. The Marshalls reside in Rosebush, MI. |
